Network

You should already have correctly set up the network from the server directly.

However, it is important to ensure your server keeps the local time correctly, and can access the internet.

To do this, from the Web GUI: Go to System -> General

In the IPv4 DNS server, enter the OpenDNS servers:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

In the Time settings, select the following:

Timezone: e.g. Europe/London (your closest location)
System Time: click on the calendar, and select the current time / date
Enable NTP: Tick this box
NTP time server: pool.ntp.org
Time update interval: 1440 (once per day)

Time to set up your drives now.
