Pivot is a PHP-based blogging platform, which can be hosted on FreeNAS.

It can be useful for use as a family digital scrapbook or personal diary. You can choose whether you want to allow access to it from the web, or keep it internal within your local LAN (i.e. for use by computers within your home network only).

To install it:
Enable the web server
Download files
Upload files to the www directory you created for the web server
Activate it

It has some great themes, including Slick which is available for download at Pivot Styles. The designer has generously made the theme public on a CC license.
